Georgia Association of School Personnel Administrators - Platinum Award of Excellence The District’s human resources department received a Platinum Award from the Georgia Association of School Personnel Administrators. This award honors the department's recruitment efforts, which included virtual recruitment event, new teacher orientation and other initiatives. Bibb County Top Readers for 2020-2021 The top readers for the 2020-2021 school year were recognized, as presented by the Bibb Association of Media Specialists. The following students read the most words at each school level: Merrill Long, fifth grade, Springdale Elementary School (11,243,426 words); Laela Freeland, seventh grade, Howard Middle School (13,489,606 words); and Donald Redd Jr., ninth grade, Northeast High School (2,782,119 words). Bibb County Retirees for 2020-2021 Retirees with 25 of more years in the district were recognized.
