2019 Bibb County School District Quick Think Contest The Quick Think Competition is held each year in second grade classrooms across the District. The competition challenges students to think about and respond to safety situations in an effort to raise awareness. The students first compete at the school level and then advance to District-level competition. This year’s District winner was Madison Smith from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary, followed by Heard Elementary’s Amelia McCann in second place and Hartley Elementary’s Anabel Diaz in third place. Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL) President The Georgia Association of Education Leaders (GAEL) is a leadership development organization that serves all of Georgia’s public schools. Earlier this year, Dr. Jesse Davis, the District’s Executive Officer of Secondary Education, was installed as GAEL president. Dr. Davis recently started his first year in the District after 16 years as a school-level administrator.No recorded vote.
