Mr. Ron Collier, Chief Financial Officer, gave a presentation of the proposed millage rate for CY 2016 (FY 2017). Dr. Dillard made a motion that the 2016 proposed millage rate for the Bibb County School District be set at 19.945; the Current 2016 Tax Digest and 5 Year History of Levy report be advertised as required by law; that public hearings be held at 11:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2016; and that the third public hearing and final adoption of the tax levy be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2016.
