About

Myrtice Johnson holds the District 1 seat on the Bibb County Board of Education. She is serving a second four-year term, which runs through December 31, 2028. She was the board's president for the 2025 fiscal year and its vice president in 2023.

She retired from the Bibb County School District in 2001 after 31 years of service, 14 as a classroom teacher and 17 as an elementary school principal. She earned degrees from Albany State University, Mercer University, the University of Georgia and Georgia State University.
